Take a tall seated position. Pull your shoulders back. Reach through the top of your head. Feel the ground support you. Prepare your body to receive loving energy.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Let your exhale be audible. You can sigh if you like. Repeat four more times.

Now breathe in gratitude. Exhale and extend gratitude. Continue four more breaths like this.

Place your hand over your heart and connect to your heart.

Let your thoughts come to someone or something that you are grateful for. Envision this person, place, animal or object. Imagine how you feel when you are in the presence of this thing. Feel it now. And then say out loud, “thank you.” “Thank you.” “Thank you.”

Now pick another person, animal, place, or experience that you are grateful for. Again, cultivate the feeling that you have when you are in the presence of this object. Now look at the person or animal and say, “thank you.” “Thank you.” “Thank you.”

Repeat this one more time, but this time think of yourself. Think of something that you appreciate about yourself. Your body maybe. How it lets you practice yoga. Your mind maybe, how it lets you do your job. Or maybe your heart or faith, and how it lets you love. And again, imagine looking at yourself and say out loud, “thank you.” “Thank you.” “Thank you.”

Sit and feel the gratitude. Breathe in gratitude. Breathe out and extend gratitude to others.

Take a few moments to notice any shifts in your energy that you have experienced through this meditation.

Let the corners of you mouth turn up. Let the corners of your heart turn up.

Blessings for a Happy Thanksgiving.
