Meet Your Teachers

Holly Gastil

Holly began her practice with Tim Miller at the Ashtanga Yoga Center in 1994. Through her continued yoga practice and teacher trainings with Tim, she began teaching in 2002. Holly’s lighthearted teaching style reflects the flexibility she has gained, both mentally and physically, through the practice of Ashtanga yoga. Holly has assisted in many of Tim’s Primary and Intermediate series teacher trainings, and was a team teacher in the 2018 adjustment clinic. Holly continues to be challenged and inspired in her yoga practice on a daily basis.

Jen René

Jen René has been a devoted Ashtanga student since 2003. She has spent the last 15 years teaching the method she loves, has directed a Mysore program in Washington DC, and has extensive experience teaching primary, second and advanced series.

Jen has been a student of Tim's for the past decade. She has taken all of his trainings, assisted on his primary series training, and co-taught the 2018 Asana Clinic at the AYC.

Jen's biggest goal (and greatest reward) is to instill in students a devotion, faith, and enthusiasm for this practice. Jen believes wholeheartedly that Ashtanga Yoga is for everyone.
