This Mastermind group is a unique opportunity to brainstorm with like minded individuals, share best practices, and get support from people who can relate to your professional situation. Most importantly you are going to be fully supported as you become an even stronger yoga teacher and business person. In this Mastermind setting you will have a group of colleagues to hold you accountable and also push you to achieve more.
Build a business with the support of your peers.
I’ve been a yoga teacher since 2004 and I have had a lot of struggles over the years. Many of them have been related to building a business, but also many of them have been emotional. Teaching can be lonely and leave you feeling isolated, over-worked, taken advantage of or manipulated into doing things you didn’t want to do.
If you are a full time teacher, if you are looking to grow your business and make teaching sustainable for you, if you have ever felt any of these things this group is for you. I'll be sharing what I have learned over the past three years of working with a business coach, sharing my wins in making yoga teaching sustainable, and facilitating a community where we can collaborate, share, and advise each other.
This group is by invite only.
What is a Mastermind?
This is a six month Ashtanga Teacher Mastermind for Ashtanga teachers who want to start or have a Mysore-style teaching program. This Mastermind will be a small group peer-to-peer mentoring program used to help members build and expand their business with input and advice from the other group members. The group will be led by Jen René who brings 16 years of teaching experience and proven success running a large Mysore program.
This Mastermind Group will offer a combination of education, brainstorming, accountability and support in a group setting to improve business skills. This group setting will challenge you to set and achieve your goals. The group will require commitment and an openness to look at your business with a critical eye.
The objective of this Mastermind group is to enhance your skills on how to run a yoga based business that is profitable and makes a bigger impact. To do this you will have to get really clear on what you are offering and who you are offering it to. What makes your offering unique?
This Mastermind group is a unique opportunity to brainstorm with like minded individuals, share best practices, and get support from people who can relate to your professional situation. Logistics
The Mastermind meets once monthly via Zoom video conference for a group call. To determine the times and dates of the calls, a poll will be sent to the group with three time suggestions (most likely one weekend time, one Moonday time, and one mid week time). The time with the most votes will be the time of that monthly call. This means that the call schedule will change on a monthly basis, but the date and time will be announced several weeks in advance. The intent is to accommodate as many people as possible. All calls will be recorded and uploaded to a course forum so that they can be viewed and reviewed at your convenience.
In addition to live calls, there will be a private Facebook group community. The more the online community is used, the more beneficial it will be to you. This is a place to ask questions, bounce around ideas, get feedback and ideas help each other, and mentor each other. Your input and advice are welcome and of course I will be actively participating as well.
You will receive worksheets and action plans as well as journaling prompts. I will provide a suggested reading list that will be focused on mindset and small business. The reading lists are optional - they will all be books that I found helpful on subjects such as separating business finances from personal finances, leadership, and belief systems
The call schedule and topics are listed below. The calls will be about 40 minutes of discussion led by me and then the rest will be Q&A. The calls will last between one hour and one hour and fifteen minutes. Questions can be submitted in advance for those not able to make the call. There will also be 2 bonus calls that will be “hotseats.” This will be for people who want to be in the hotseat for a call. The participant that is the in the hotseat will be assisted by the a group as we will all collectively brainstorm with you about your teaching, studio, or small business concern.
