My favorite things for practice

  • Pilates: hands down the best thing I have ever done for my yoga practice. Check out my Pilates for Yogis online class to stabilize, build strength, and connect to your center.
  • Build a Better Backbend Online workshop. This workshop breaks down the backbends of Ashtanga Yoga to help you find space and ease in your body.
  • The Art of Vinyasa by two of my favorite teachers, Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor.
  • bolster is great if you can't get your chest off the floor in bhekasana. Also makes a nice landing pad for bakasana B.
  • Foam pads for learning drop backs and tick tocks.
  • Cork blocks for when you are bearing weight onto blocks.
  • Foam blocks for squeezing between your legs in backbends.
